The well-heeled corporate puppet masters that comprise America's wanna be shadow government know exactly which strings to pull to get both politicians and voters to jump to their commands.  Getting a politician under corporate control is easy via the campaign fund route or with the promise of a soft landing job after the elected completes his or her term.  Getting voters to dance to a corporate tune  should be somewhat more difficult, but really isn't.  All it takes to win the hearts and minds of voters is to do one magical thing, wait for it, wait for it, wait for it....

All corporate propagandists have to do to get an army of slack-jawed, beady-eyed voters to vote their man or woman in is to appeal to their sense of envy.  Try this one on for size to see if it sounds familiar.  “Unionized government employees are making more money that you are and have a much better retirement plan.  Hey, aren't you upset that you are stuck with the tab, because your taxes pay for their salaries and benefits?”  Now that's a call to action for every Joe Sixpack that feels that he has been left behind by today's economy and feels powerless to change his plight.

Your average guy or gal who lives in a state that already has laws that are unfriendly to unions and union organizing, a state that operates under so called right to work laws, has probably been fed a ton of anti-union lies by his or her employer.  These brainwashed folks are not going to figure out that the reason that unionized government employees make more money and have better benefits is because government employees belong to a union and they don’t.  Their boss is taking advantage of them because they are not represented by a union and can't negotiate as a group.  They want to bring the unionized worker down to their salary levels instead of raising their own standard of living.  In other words, they are losers that are turning our country into a third world corporate-run banana republic!

Manipulative corporate political advertising works by appealing to the base instincts of its target audience.  My next posting will contain the remedy for corporate lies delivered to us courtesy of the mainstream media!

If a candidate's chances of getting elected increase with the size or his or her wallet or worse yet, with the amount of corporate support he or she gets, then we no longer live in a democracy, we live in a banana republic.

I'm sure the bloated mega corporations who now consider themselves the shadow government of the US are jumping with joy over today's Supreme Court decision.  Justice Roberts and  company have done something that can only happen in a Frankenstein movie; they brought corporations to life and gave them rights that used to only belong to flesh and blood people. Corporations are now constitutionally entitled to the right of free speech.

Laws that limit the amount of money a corporation can spend on political advertising no longer apply because the court says they restrict a corporation's right of free speech.  Corporations can now buy the politician of their choice by financing their campaign ads.  When politicians are bought and sold, a mere vote  means nothing.

Congratulations Supreme Court, you have done what no invading army has ever been able to do; you have tossed 233 years of American freedom into the circular file and turned the USA over to it's new rulers, the corporations.
