If you've been reading these posts or listening to my show for any length of time, you know that I was and am strongly in favor of nationalized healthcare. Unfortunately, due to well funded corporate financed external influences and Democratic "compromise" that bordered on complicity, so called ObamaCare was diluted into its present state. My theory is that something is better than nothing. As it stands now, the plan protects us from what, in my opinion are some of the nastier excesses of the health insurance industry like refusing to insure people who have many pre-existing conditions or raising their premiums above the threshold of affordability. All in all, it is a giant step forward that protects us from many of the excesses that made the pre-ObamaCare health insurance corps resemble the death panels that the GOP claimed ObamaCare would create. Thanks to GOP lies and that of shill organizations who buy deceptive advertising on the mainstream media, ObamaCare was greatly whittled down. Even that wasn't enough for many members of the GOP who became obsessed with obliterating ObamaCare at any cost, even if they take down our economy with it. After many, many attempts, they decided to use the debt ceiling as a club to hold over the Democrats' heads. What we need to make clear to them is that they are holding it over our heads and we won't stand for it! The GOP has already rammed their extortionary bill through Congress. Hopefully, the bill will be dead on arrival in the Senate, but if it isn't, we need to let our Senators know how we feel and let those electeds who voted for defunding know that we will vote them out on election day. Funding our country shouldn't be contingent on letting the GOP and the corps who own them destroy something that clearly is long overdue and will literally protect America's health.

My wife is about to undergo cancer surgery so suffice it to say, I am a basket case right now. Although cancer may be a nightmare, I can think of a worse scenario, having cancer without having health insurance. Visit my Listen Here! page to get a strong dose of reality!
Does anyone remember the early days of the healthcare debate when the Republicans, right wing talk radio and Teabaggers were starting to hang the Term "Obamacare" on it? That pressure made the President and many Democrats fold and reduce a plan that would have been all-inclusive and constitutionally airtight to a watered-down plan that may not withstand the tests of a Supreme Court that basically has a right wing majority. You can hear what I have to say about it by visiting my Listen Here! page.
You are wonderful listeners, who are a joy to tweet with on Twitter and never cease to amaze me. Could you please do me a favor and pass the following message along to any of your friends, acquaintances or associates who actually support and believe the nonsense that the Tea Party and Republicans have been spewing about the Healthcare bill.
Ok, here goes: Listen-up sport!!! Let me explain a few basic concepts to you, because no one has had any luck getting them past your 30 sec. sound bite attention span. First of all, even though I have no connection with them, on behalf of America's insurance corporations, I want to thank you for following the commands of your favorite conservative radio talk show hosts and cable network. All of the hours that you spent waving your misspelled protest signs and shouting profanities and racial insults at the top of your lungs weren't in vain, they helped them increase their profits. They also want you to know, that ALL they are going to give you for that is a quick thanks and want me to remind you that should you have a pre-existing condition, it's still your tough luck and you can expect your premiums to go up like everyone else's. By the way, don't expect them to lower YOUR rates, that would be Socialism. Don't forget that this is America and they are in business to make a profit. You wouldn't want to deny them that, would you? You would then be considered to be a Progressive/Socialist/Lefty, like anyone who believes that you should not deny healthcare to people who can't afford it. Keep up the good work and the insurance company CEO's will let you wave as you drive past their mansions. America's corporations also asked me to tell those of you who are anti-union and still think that you are part of the "middle class" to get back to work, those burgers and fries aren't going to cook themselves. Since President Obama has firmly stated his position during his meeting with the Republicans, I want to revisit the healthcare issue and ask him to push for single payer healthcare. The pending healthcare legislation is festooned with loopholes and omissions.
Visit my Listen Here! page for an example of one such omission. If you voted the Democrats into power to erase the effects of the previous eight years, you will want to visit the Listen Here! page to hear my latest show.
Are Conservative talk show hosts gaming the system in the health care debate?

AuthorHave you noticed that there's no one on Talk Radio who speaks for John and Jane Q. Public? I want to change that situation. When I go into the studio and get on the air, I say the things that you've always wanted to say. The big corporate interests have their lobbyists, I want to be your voice. Just think of me as your guy fighting for your interests. Proud To Be On:Archives
