I think the new TSA "enhanced pat-downs"  and invasive body scans ARE demeaning, UN-AMERICAN invasions of privacy! They are a symptom of the throw everything at the problem approach to security which may or may not make us more secure, but will definitely make our country have some of the trappings of a totalitarian nation.

When you see the very essence of what it means to be an American changing right before your eyes, you have make some quick Monday morning quarterback judgment calls on how our country got to where we are today.  I feel that President Obama has made some God awful appointments to his cabinet, many of whom are just extensions of the Bush administration.  One glaring example of Presidential poor judgement was his appointment of Janet Napolitano, a political appointee  as the head of The Department of Homeland Security!   Her background as a Governor and State Attorney General doesn't maker her a law enforcement expert.  Wouldn't appointing law enforcement genius and former Los Angeles Chief of Police, New York City Police Commissioner and Boston Police Commissioner,  William J. Bratton to the top position of DHS have been a better choice?
