Do you ever get the feeling that things have spun hopelessly out of control in the good ol' USA? Do you feel that your quality of life has deteriorated over the past thirty years? Then you need to hear my lecture, The Altered State of America by visiting my Listen Here! page.

When internet White House correspondent Neil Munro interrupted President Obama a few days ago, I wasn't shocked by rudeness of his act, I was stunned by the hypocrisy of what he was saying. You've already heard his rant, now hear mine by visiting my Listen Here! page.
My father is no longer with us, so every Father's Day reminds me about how much I miss him. He was a guiding light in my life who worked on a GM assembly line for over thirty years. He was union and proud of it. He knew that his union, The United Auto Workers was looking out for his best interests.
His union was a true manifestation of "Love Thy Neighbor As Thyself", it was every co-worker looking out for each other's well being by speaking out in one loud, unified voice. The benefits and wages that they gained in hard fought negotiations let my dad give his family a middle class lifestyle. He took great pride in what his union job allowed him to do for his family. He had close ties to his union brothers and sisters and many of his fellow union members were more like extended members of our family. We were raised to respect unions and the wonderful things they do for working people and America. We were taught at an early age that one of the lowest creatures in existence is a scab, a person who crosses a picket line during a strike. That person wasn't just crossing a picket line, he or she was showing every worker at that plant that his or her selfish need to make a quick buck is more important than their well being and that of their families. Luckily, scabs were a rarity in those days as everyone had respect for everyone else. My father would not recognize or like today's America, a place that no longer gives working people a fair shake and where worker is turned against worker by corporate sponsored political TV ads. We have become a nation of mentally lazy, self-absorbed people who are willing to let the mainstream media tell them how to think and vote. Many of our unions find it easier to get in bed with a political party that is gradually killing them because the other party wants to wipe them out instantly. We have become a nation divided. Dad, Happy Father's Day. I'm still here keeping the faith and hope that many more will join me! Photo Courtesy of ellenm1 Face it folks, Wisconsin proves that corporations have been doing a great job of conning the American voter into voting their way. They do so by using sock puppet organizations that buy almost infinite amounts of mainstream media airtime to run their brainwashing propaganda ads. Since the electeds of both parties have castrated the FCC's rules and regs to the point where it doesn't have a Fairness Doctrine and allows a few major corporate players to own most of the broadcast outlets in the USA, and the Supreme Court has ruled that corporate money is “free” speech, we have to use people power to return fairness to our political system. Having come to the realization that the mainstream media, in running deceitful, corporate funded political advertising and selectively reporting news stories, is literally robbing us of any semblance of fairness and honesty in the electoral process, we must take matters into our own hands. When you are confronted with lies, censorship, and half truths from a source of information, you are left with no alternative but to stop using that source of information. I invite you to join me in getting the truth out by locking their lies into that box of deception that we keep in our living rooms. I want each one of you to get on the phone and call your friends, family and business associates. Tell everyone who will listen about the phony corporate funded political ads and distorted reporting that passes for journalism that routinely happens on a mainstream media which promulgates lies to help corporatists thwart the American democratic process. Tell them that those corporate ads are doing their thinking for them and are almost reaching into the voting booth and pulling the handle for them. Tell everyone that you know that the only way that we are going to get a fair election this year is for them to rely on social media and alternative broadcast media for election 2012 information and for them to TURN OFF, TUNE OUT AND IGNORE THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA! Use these handy-dandy buttons to start getting the word out: The well-heeled corporate puppet masters that comprise America's wanna be shadow government know exactly which strings to pull to get both politicians and voters to jump to their commands. Getting a politician under corporate control is easy via the campaign fund route or with the promise of a soft landing job after the elected completes his or her term. Getting voters to dance to a corporate tune should be somewhat more difficult, but really isn't. All it takes to win the hearts and minds of voters is to do one magical thing, wait for it, wait for it, wait for it....
All corporate propagandists have to do to get an army of slack-jawed, beady-eyed voters to vote their man or woman in is to appeal to their sense of envy. Try this one on for size to see if it sounds familiar. “Unionized government employees are making more money that you are and have a much better retirement plan. Hey, aren't you upset that you are stuck with the tab, because your taxes pay for their salaries and benefits?” Now that's a call to action for every Joe Sixpack that feels that he has been left behind by today's economy and feels powerless to change his plight. Your average guy or gal who lives in a state that already has laws that are unfriendly to unions and union organizing, a state that operates under so called right to work laws, has probably been fed a ton of anti-union lies by his or her employer. These brainwashed folks are not going to figure out that the reason that unionized government employees make more money and have better benefits is because government employees belong to a union and they don’t. Their boss is taking advantage of them because they are not represented by a union and can't negotiate as a group. They want to bring the unionized worker down to their salary levels instead of raising their own standard of living. In other words, they are losers that are turning our country into a third world corporate-run banana republic! Manipulative corporate political advertising works by appealing to the base instincts of its target audience. My next posting will contain the remedy for corporate lies delivered to us courtesy of the mainstream media! I want to thank the people of Wisconsin who put up an epic struggle to recall Scott Walker. Organized labor put in their best efforts to help, but got outspent by what is becoming America’s corporate shadow government and their massive propaganda, oops, I mean advertising campaigns. The fight to oust the man who wants to destroy unions could have been won if Wisconsin's Anti-Walker people had the unreserved support of the national Democratic Party and Barack Obama. Many of you think that we are seeing an all too familiar pattern of Obama's indifference to the plight of unions and union workers, but it's more than that so read on.
President Obama has a tendency to play it safe, regardless of the consequences. He seems to analyze almost every move that he makes for potential voter loss or gain. That's why many of his 2008 campaign initiatives were watered down or abandoned. That's why he waited almost three years to come out in favor of giving gays the right to marry. That's why he never made a personal show of support in Wisconsin to help the dump Walker effort. That's why the only help that he gave Tom Barrett in his campaign against Scott Walker was a lousy last minute tweet on Twitter. Many people fought long and hard to get the required signatures for a recall vote and all the President could muster was a last minute tweet?? Someone should tell him that being “all in” is a two way street, he can't expect union people to be “all in” for him, if he's not “all in” for us! Our “two” party system very effectively limits our right of choice to the lesser of two evils. I don't know about you, but if I were given the chance to choose from a wider range of candidates, from a wider range of parties, I would vote for the guy or gal who does the right thing, regardless of the political consequences! Scott Walker is a man on a mission which was assigned to him by his corporate masters. That mission is to wipe out as many unions as he can, making Wisconsin a mini third-world country where corporations can hire low wage, employees with reduced expectations and little hope for a better life. In his vision, Wisconsin will become a place where there is an abundance of minimum wage jobs with little or no benefits.
He has already proven that he will use any means at his disposal to help his corporate benefactors accomplish their goals, even if it is at odds with the democratic process. This Tuesday, Wisconsinites will have the opportunity to rectify a mistake that they made when they elected Walker and to send a clear message to other corporate owned Governors like Florida's Rick Scott. Let's take back our country one state at a time! Wisconsinites, get out there and VOTE!!! |
AuthorHave you noticed that there's no one on Talk Radio who speaks for John and Jane Q. Public? I want to change that situation. When I go into the studio and get on the air, I say the things that you've always wanted to say. The big corporate interests have their lobbyists, I want to be your voice. Just think of me as your guy fighting for your interests. Proud To Be On:Archives
